Monthly Breakfast:  On the second Tuesday of each month we meet at 9:00 am at the Pancake House by the airport for a time of fellowship.  We usually have about 25 people for a wonderful time together, along with the great food and service that we’ve come to expect there.  You’re always welcome to come and join us, and be sure to invite a friend!
Chancel Choir:  The Chancel Choir at Zion Lutheran is a wonderful opportunity to sing, to pray, to grow and to serve.   We invite and include all folks from late middle school to sainthood.   Musical leadership is an important part of worship services in any Lutheran community:
We are a group with varying experience – some of us read music, and some learn primarily by ear.  The approach to learning is flexible and supportive.    Practices are marked by lots of laughter and warm friendliness.
We hope you will consider adding your own voice to our Chancel Choir.   Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 3:30 pm in the Sanctuary.   Just drop in on practice and try us out!
Altar Guild:  The Altar Guild Ministry involves dusting and making sure the altar space is in order, preparing the communion elements, linens, candles, and paraments used in the liturgy, cleaning up after the service, and laundering the linens.
The primary mission is to prepare and maintain our altar worship area for use by God's family. We prepare for regular Sunday worship services and communion Sundays. We also prepare for Lent, Easter, Christmas, and other special times communion is asked for. Making worship meaningful for our congregation and friends is truly the Guild's privilege.
Each member who serves on the Altar Guild is committed to this service. We appreciate their gifts of time and warmly welcome any and all members of Zion Lutheran who are interested in joining our group and have available time to serve.

ZION MEN’S GROUP:  Zion Men’s Group is a group of men who meet once a month at the church.   Our goal is to have fellowship, share a meal, learn, and grow in God’s way.
Our Men’s Group leaders believe in “Loving People and feeding them tasty food”.  There are several other members who share this philosophy and share in the meal preparation.  We begin each meeting with a meal followed by a program.  Our programs vary and generally, but not always have a Christian message about how we can be better servants for the lord.
We meet once a month, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm at the church.  All men are welcome.  So, feel free to join us at our next gathering.

ADVENTURE GROUPS:  Over the last two summers we have had opportunities to gather at an area lake for kayaking and canoeing.  Each time was so enjoyable that we’re looking at ways to expand this fellowship time.  This winter we’ll gather at least once for snow shoeing, and perhaps will have other opportunities for some fellowship, fun, and adventure!  Watch the Herald for more information and for sign-ups!
Last summer several groups gathered for the Bend Elks baseball games, and we’ll plan some of those outings for the summer of 2015.

That Zion's Ruth Circle is alive and well? It is the women's group of the Evangelical Church of America that Zion is. Ruth Circle has always been here serving, quilting, planning events, having bazaars, donating money for upgrades and projects within the church. They are also involved in many programs outside the church. The women have an active, growing group that has a multitude of activities for you to be involved. They are...
